A great audience! The start of a week of Halloween storytelling, and a much larger group than I was expecting. Some of them may have been there just for me, I don't know. My sister was, I know that ... The Historical Society finished its meeting and turned its attention to me - I'd tried to think locally, and historically, so I shared a midwestern spook story about the superstition of the Dumb Supper, a seriously creepy 100-year-old tale about a skeleton, "The Man of Science" - both of them brand-new for me - along with the classic "Cremation of Sam McGee" and more.
